Paris fashion week: Alexander McQueen

9 Mar

The setting: La Conciergerie, Marie Antoinette’s prison. Sarah Burton produced an outstanding collection. Literally In my eyes I think it’s truly stunning. You get an ice-queen feel from this collection, very chilling. The fur added to this feel as well as it reminded me of an arctic fox or some other arctic animal. The first look has to be my favourite. The bodice is made from broken china then extends into this beautiful floor length organza skirt. The shoes made my jaw hit the floor! The insanely high wedge heel with the spike protruding out of it is just so fierce! The same with the wedges made out of black feathers.Quintessentially McQueen.
